New Zealand QROPS will benefit if voluntary code of conduct goes ahead

New Zealand QROPS have been the subject of negative press, with some QROPS providers being accused of mis-selling and some financial advisers suspected of unscrupulous activity. Strategi, a compliance consultancy company based in New Zealand, are working alongside financial advisers to come up with a new, voluntary code of conduct.

The intention is that by introducing this code of conduct, New Zealand QROPS and financial advisers will be able to repair the damage done by the bad press and help to boost New Zealand QROPS’ reputation. Guardian Wealth Management are supporting this positive move and welcome any reforms which will help to elevate the professional standing of wealth management and financial advice providers.
